You'll be losing an hour this weekend when the clocks spring ahead for daylight saving time on Sunday. So how will you make the most of the time you still have? Check out any of these events … or all of them.

A Parisian-themed tea at the Elkridge Furnace Inn includes savory bites and sweet treats that you won't forget. The Maryland Science Center and the Robinson Nature Center will present a family-focused planetarium show, guiding participants in building their family's own GalileoScope, a telescope with a 400-year-old history (and $50 retail value). There will be a chance to hold a meteorite, and to view the stars through telescopes if the weather allows.

Bach, Handel and Vivaldi are a few of the many well-known composers whose work will be heard during an all-baroque performance this Sunday at McDaniel College. The ornate music of 1600-1750 Europe, this style is notable for complex harmonies, including counterpoint, and increased emphasis on contrast. The musicians are harpsichordist Don Horneff, violinist Nicholas Currie, cellist Tim Anderson and flutist Rodrigo Tarraza.
